Allie Bagnall

Allie E. Bagnall

Allie E. Bagnall, research analyst between 2010 and 2013, worked with senior fellows Edwin M. Truman, Morris Goldstein, Simon Johnson, and Gary Clyde Hufbauer. Her research focused primarily on sovereign wealth funds, reserve currency trends, international trade, and international financial systems and regulation. Bagnall has published several RealTime Economic Issues Watch posts on movement of reserve currency holdings as well as the policy implications of these changes. She also worked on financial systems risk and banking best practices.

Bagnall holds a bachelor''s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a master’s degree in international policy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s La Follette School of Public Affairs. Bagnall conducted two graduate research projects, one focused on the trade implications of agricultural subsidies and another on economic growth modeling in extractive economies. Her graduate thesis evaluated the efficacy of performance based foreign aid.
